Last thursday, I was checking my mail and saw an email from MTV Exit, so I opened it and to my surprise, I was picked as one of the winners for the meet and greet with Evaline, a Calfornia based Alternative Rock band. Here's the closed caption of the email. :)
Then come friday. I was very very very excited to meet them, even though I am not a very very big fan of them (not to mention I have only heard 4 of their songs before the meet and greet). My cousin, Loise, also won a meet and greet but not from MTV, but from MCA. We arrived at Holiday Inn at around 4pm coz her email said be there at 4:45pm. We waited for a while and people started to arrive there.When it was 4:45, I went to Crowne Plaza because the instructions of MTV Exit says to go at the Crowne Plaza. There, I met Fearne of MTV Exit. She was pretty! She's Thai. Okay, back to the topic. Well we practically waited for 1 more hour...While waiting, the staff of MTV Exit decided to have a mini game to pass on some time. It was a simple game, they ask question then the first one to raise their hand with the correct answer gets an MTV shirt. I won two times, which means I won two shirts but I gave the other one away to my cousin. The staff of MTV Exit even gave us Krispy Kreme doughnuts for us to munch while waiting. But while everyone was grabbing doughnuts, I heard voices of men, and looked at the entrance of the lobby and saw (wait for it) Evaline arriving! So my senses became more active. Hahaha! They went to this isolated room and rested for a few minutes while being briefed by the organizers. Everyone was busy cleaning their hands(because of the doughnuts) except me and my cousin. I was very very anxious to shake their hands and talk to them. We were split into 3 groups, me and my cousin was in the 2nd group. When it was our turn to go inside the room, I was more anxious! (who wouldn't be? ^^) The first member I shook hands with was Richard Perry, their vocalist, a.k.a Orlando Bloom look-alike. I forgot their arrangement (poor me!). After the shake hands, "how are you's", "nice to meet you's"; we went outside but didn't leave the lobby yet. After a while, they went out and well, more picture taking! We had a lot of pictures with Christian and Richard. I must say, their fan service is quite awesome. :)
